1/2 cup sake
1/2 cup mirin
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 Ojai Pixie Tangerines
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold or room temperature water
In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce and the next 3 ingredients. Stir in the juice from the tangerines and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring often.
In a small bowl, mix together the corn starch and water. Slowly whisk the corn starch mixture into the saucepan. Continue to simmer, stirring often, until thickened, about 6-8 minutes.
