Melissa's Organic Emerald Watermelon is an attractive round seedless variety with a rich glossy dark green striped rind of medium size, ranging between 13 to16 pounds. What a sweet gem to have available during summer! Slice open and you’ll find a firm, dark red flesh with small pips.
The crisp, sweet, mouth-watering flavor pairs well with agave and salt to create the perfect snack. For a refreshing watermelon salad idea, pair with peppery arugula, balsamic and salty feta cheese.
To store, wrap cut melon sections in plastic and refrigerate. For optimum sweetness, juiciness, and texture, use within one week. Frozen melon balls will keep for a few months.
