1-pound thick cut bacon
1 cup good maple syrup
4 teaspoons Melissa’s Authentic Green New Mexico Hatch Pepper Powder
Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
Place the bacon strips on top of a wire rack in a sheet pan, then place the sheet pan into the preheated oven. Bake for 7 minutes.
Brush or drizzle with some of the syrup and sprinkle with the Hatch powder. Place back into the oven and bake for 7 minutes. Repeat the process 3 more times. Remove from the oven and chop.
Heat a sauté pan over high flame and add the bacon. Sauté, stirring often, for 3 minutes. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Use as a garnish or topper for salads, parfaits, crème brûlée, etc.
