1 pound cream cheese
1 organic orange, zested
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup almonds, toasted and sliced
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
20 Lemon Verbena Leaves
Blend well in bowl or mixer, spoon about 1 – 2 tablespoon of stuffing in each slice of bread.
Brown batter-dipped bread in a little oil and then place in 350 oven to finish.
Combine sugar and water in pan and reduce slightly until slightly syrupy (7 minutes).
Add lemon Verbena leaves last 2 minutes and allow to steep off of the heat.
When serving plate and top with fresh berries and serve with warm syrup.
