1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 cup Persimmon Pulp
2 cups sifted Flour
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Margarine or Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg beaten
1 cup Nuts
1 cup Raisins
Dissolve soda in persimmon pulp and set aside. Sift flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt together and set aside.
Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy, then beat in egg. Stir all mixtures and dry ingredients together.
Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-greased cookie sheet. Bake 350º 10-12 minutes.
