4 canela sticks (cinnamon sticks) ground
2 bananas, sliced
1 starfruit, tips trimmed and fruit sliced crosswise
1 tablespoon sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
Raisin Nut Bread or equivalent pound cake, shortcake, or ladyfingers
In a pan, sauté the cinnamon, bananas, starfruit, and sugar in the butter until warm, about 1 1/2 minutes.
Place 1 slice of bread on each plate and cover it with the fruit mixture.
For a more decadent version, drizzle with chocolate syrup and top with whipped cream.
