Dosakai is a small, round yellow cucumber native to India. It has a firm texture, white flesh, melon-like aroma and a tangy, slightly bitter taste that sweetens when cooked. Dosakai is often used raw, pickled, or cooked in curry, dal, and soup, and it is sometimes used as a swap for potatoes.
Pairings include rich Indian aromatics like curry leaves, turmeric, cumin, ginger and mustard seeds.
