Thin
3 tablespoons Cold or Room Temperature Water
1 tablespoon Cornstarch

Thick
1 tablespoons Cold or Room Temperature Water
1 tablespoon Cornstarch

Corn Starch Paste Step 1


Dissolved in water, cornstarch is used to thicken sauces (especially stir-fry and Asian dishes) giving them an attractive transparent glaze.
Corn Starch Paste Step 2
Using a wire whisk or a fork, mix cornstarch and water until thoroughly mixed. Always stir mixture again just before using because the starch settles.
