Coconut, Toasting

Place Melissa’s shredded coconut evenly in a dry skillet. |
Cook over medium heat and cook, stirring or shaking the pan frequently to prevent burning. |
Take coconut from pan when the coconut begins to release its flavor and aroma, 5 to 10 minutes.
Toasting or roasting coconut crisps and brings out the flavor. The trick is to watch the process carefully because it will burn easily.
