During the month of August Melissa’s has partnered with a Central Valley grower to offer, in limited quantities, a collection of experimental red, green and black grape varieties that are still being developed for the larger commercial marketplace.
The RED GRAPE collection will consist of the varieties TICKLED PINK, SOMERSET and EINSET, which all have very distinctly strawberry notes that vary in intensity depending on the variety. Grapes are fat-free, cholesterol-free, and sodium-free. A half-cup serving consists of about 50 calories; fruit contains naturally occurring sugars and is packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients to promote good health.
