This new variety of Butternut squash measures six to eight inches in diameter with a flattened oval shape and pastel peach outer coloring.
Each squash weighs between 2 to 4 pounds; the interior is bright orange with a very small seed cavity.
The variety has a much sweeter flavor than a regular butternut squash and is excellent for baking, roasting, steaming and even grilling.
The varietal was named only because of its resemblance to a pumpkin and not due to any actual botanical cross-breeding.
