Melissa’s Mandarinquats are a cross between a mandarin and a kumquat.

Mandarinquats are orange, bell-shaped fruit that is larger than a typical kumquat at about two inches long. The peel is very sweet and is eaten along with the tart flesh. Slice in quarters for garnish or eat out of hand as a quick and easy snack or include a baggy of them in the school lunchbox. Simmer the sweet peel in sugar syrup for a great combination with roast duck!

Choose firm, bright orange fruit with no shrivel or soft spots. Refrigerate for up to two weeks. Merchandise with Kumquats, Blood Oranges, Oro Blancos, Pummelos, Uniq Fruit, tangerines / mandarins, and key limes.

The following prohibit the shipment of any citrus into their state:
Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, and Hawaii.
