Melissa’s Organic Yams are oblong tubers with similar properties to potatoes and each other. Can be consumed raw and are cooked in almost any way imaginable. They have a light, subtle flavor, creamy texture, and they are organically grown without harmful pesticides, preservatives and fertilizers.

To prepare yams, remove skin and cut into cubes. Boil for 10-20 minutes and top with butter, herbs and spices. For sweet and creamy potatoes, prick in several spots and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until tender, top with marshmallows.
Organic Yams from Melissa’s are hand-selected for excellent quality. Look for firm, well-shaped and fairly smooth tubers. Avoid tubers that have wrinkles, holes or any defects. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area rather than refrigerate. Organic produce should not be stacked with non-organic produce.
