Rinse Malanga well, peel and cube.
Combine lemon juice, fresh herbs and salt in a large pot with enough water to cover the Malanga. Bring to a boil.
Lower heat and cook until just tender, approximately 25 minutes. Drain.
Top with chile powder.
Serve hot as a vegetable with spicy sausages.
