Ingredients

2 1/2 cups organic cabbage (use red or green cabbage), coarsely shredded

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon or vegetable bouillon granules

1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds

1 medium organic apple, cored and cut into bite-size pieces (apples sliced - optional)
Directions
Combine cabbage, onion, water, lemon juice, bouillon granules and caraway seeds in a 2 quart saucepan; bring to boiling.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 7 to 8 minutes (cabbage should be nearly tender). Stir in apple.
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes more until both apple and cabbage are tender.
Recipe Note
You can garnish with apple slices, if desired.
