Ingredients

3 cups blackberries

3 cups raspberries

3 tablespoons sugar plus 1/2 cup, divided use

1/3 cup orange juice

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 pinch salt

1/2 cup butter at room temperature

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a square 8 inch x 8 inch baking pan, mix the blueberries, 3 tablespoons sugar and orange juice. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Cream together butter and remaining 1/2 cup sugar until fluffy.
Slowly add the egg and vanilla. Once combined, slowly add the flour mixture until combine. With a spoon, scoop out about 1 tablespoon at a time and drop evenly on top of blueberry mixture. Continue until all mixture is on top of blueberries.
Bake in oven uncovered about 35 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
