A satisfying and tasty smoothie with anti-inflammatory Turmeric and plant-based Omega-3 Chia Seed.
Ingredients

3 ripe organic bananas, frozen

½ cup almond milk, very cold

2 organic lemons, zested & juiced

1 large piece fresh turmeric
-
2 tablespoons Melissa’s Organic Blue Agave Syrup

1 cup ice
-
2 tablespoons chia seeds
Directions
Place all of the ingredients, except for the chia seeds, into a blender and process until smooth.
Mix in 1 ½ tablespoons of the chia seeds.
Pour the smoothie into 2 glasses and garnish with the remaining chia seeds. Serve immediately.
Recipe Note
Turmeric skin may be consumed. If you don't care for skin's papery texture, you may peel it off by scraping with the side of a spoon, but wear a pair of disposable gloves to prevent the juices from temporarily dying your hands.
If you've not consumed Chia Seeds, we suggest drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day.
